Kenny Maruyama

Prior to joining Weldon Development Group, Kenneth was a Senior Development Project Manager + Vice President at Lendlease Development, Chicago. In this role he was responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of development projects from concept through building operation. With a strong background in integrated project delivery, Kenneth was instrumental in utilizing and aligning full project teams to successfully deliver highly complex projects under budget and ahead of schedule. 

Prior to Lendlease, Kenneth was a Senior Project Architect with Thomas Roszak Architecture (TRA) and their affiliated Development (TR Development) and Construction Management (Steelgrass) companies.  Here he held a wide range of development responsibilities, including the design and construction oversight of their Chicago developments.

Kenneth was also a Senior Technical Architect at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), working on high-profile projects such as Burj Khalifa (onsite), the Tianjin CTF Finance Centre, and the Genome Sciences Building at UNC Chapel Hill. 

Prior to SOM he worked as a Construction Superintendent and Architect at Optima, Inc., a vertically integrated development company.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech University; his professional affiliations include a Licensed Architect (State of Illinois) and LEED AP accredited professional.
